The human, social and planetary dimensions and the innate agreements to maintain balance have been implicit since the dawn of our evolution.
One singular fact of our human evolution stands out: the current trajectory of our evolution will certainly lead us to the brinks of extinction with current reckless unsafe depredation of our planet and the innumerable unsustainable paths that we have embraced hitherto as a specie.
And, the existing safe planetary boundaries would fizzle out in about a decade. Hence, such innate implicit agreements have to be made explicit and binding to every nation and inhabitant as we move forward to redress the current imbalance. The calibrations we are effecting right now are infinitesimal to make a significant course correction for a sustainable planet unless:
“We change the ways we use our planet for all to thrive; on various fronts.”
What next ? What is the impact; what price will we pay; how will we effect the paradigm changes; how will the working model be; who contributes to the new sustainable world; and a plethora of such questions plague us – collectively as a human race ones.
To overcome these quintessential critical issues that threaten the very existence of our human race, world leaders, engineers, scientists, economists, academicians, luminaries, business leaders, and everyone need to engage in implementing solutions that are progressive and responsible in every aspect to one and all.
Further, the sole focus on economic growth as the only indicator and measure of development of our societies has clearly fallen short of our infinite capacities as systemic thinkers. The time is now to ponder whether economic growth is indeed the sole quest of a developed society vis-à-vis human and planetary well-being.
Our focus, more imperative now than ever, in the highly fragmented world we live in, is to implement systems & measures that are integrated & interconnected holistically that factor various aspects equitably while addressing social, environmental and economic impacts of unsafe loading and exploitation of our planetary resources as well as to address benefits to stakeholders to thrive as communities and as a sustainable planet.

The World Economic Summit acknowledges the imbalance in our planet and the growing demand for sustainable solutions and intend to usher in a safe operating system for humanity with zero impact on ecology, significant positive impact for the society with zero load on the planetary boundaries through equitable solutions for the biodiversity, resources, people and the planet.
These solutions we co-create would be effective working socio-economic models integrating the principles of green economy and blue economy not bound by linear constraints but truly a circular-economy-framework that factor in fair and equitable socio cultural aspects wherein the conditions for communities to thrive are directly linked to the positive health of the planet.
Through our Impact Invest Forums, we foster collaborations for holistic framework for better investment models to manifest the above vision bridging the divides between existing funding mechanisms and those that integrate sustainable triple bottom line approaches in an equitable manner. This augments and assists in sustaining the planet vis-a-vis destroying it.
Some of the areas we are already working on are climate change reversal, democratize economies, end plastic pollution, sustainable development of regions & nations in emerging economies, energy and food security, solutions for refugee crises, clean energy, sustainable and smart cities, new forms of agriculture, transportation and infrastructure, new models of education, community empowerment, circular economy implementation, and many other areas critical to our human and planetary sustainability.

In a world that is fast embracing circular & collective economy with an inclusive approach to replace those archaic models that have not served our collective evolution, it is up to us earthlings to drive ourselves into oblivion or calibrate and /or evolve alternative models for our human growth, maintain equilibrium and sustain our growth responsibly.
Hence, it is ever more imperative today to
1. Foster social innovation and entrepreneurial framework
2. Establish sustainable ecosystems to integrate & foster shared inclusive growth, effective & transparent governance
3. Calibrate our current systems to be transparent and create equal opportunities for positive impact regionally and globally!
4. Calibrate our frameworks to keep our planet safe and clean for sustained growth
5. Collaborate on all fronts to work cohesively in an integrated, circular and collective economy to thrive as one planet.
Research and analyses lead to identifying root causes and the underlying nuances for our existing conflicts. The corollary of it being they can also point us in the direction of what and how the solutions can and should be best suited to all parties concerned.
Neither wars nor weapons have ever brought peace anywhere; they have helped impose and maintain a quasi-solution, a mockery of lasting peace, a mockery of our innate human intelligence and the vast capacities to co-create our future – as individuals, as a tribe, as a collective society to thrive on our planet.
When we are bold enough to address the moral problems that stifle our human & planetary evolution today, lasting peace has a chance to breathe.
On which issues and what level can we all engage today that ensures people to thrive in free economies because we worked together as a humanity – not only to address the pressing issues we confront at the very roots now – but find and implement solutions to overcome them.
